Institut auf dem Rosenberg

About Us

The Institut auf dem Rosenberg, located between Lake Constance and the Alpstein (part of The Alps), boasts clean air, natural surroundings and a moderate climate, which all help to counter-balance the overstimulation that most young people experience today.

Pupils of the Institut auf dem Rosenberg live in a multicultural and multilingual environment from which they benefit for life by learning to fit in an international community, since in today’s ever-changing global world, tolerance and understanding are vital survival tools.

St. Gallen is a picturesque provincial town and regional capital, with a well-known university, a world heritage site Abbey and Library, up-to-date medical services and a variety of cultural attractions throughout the year. International airports are within easy reach (Zurich 85 km, Altenrhein 25 km) and the borders to Austria and Germany close by.

Students live in houses according to gender and age in a quiet residential district with easy access to numerous summer and winter sports facilities: tennis, golf, skiing and snowboarding, ice skating, water-skiing, horseback riding and more.

The social highlight of the year is the traditional Rosenberg Ball, attended by large numbers of parents and alumni from all over the world and crowned by stunning pupils’ performances, for which the performers have been trained and coached by professionals for months in advance.
