LA has access to rich natural, cultural (Heartwood Theater; the Lincoln Theater; Bowdoin, Bates and Colby Colleges), and scientific (Bigelow Laboratory, University of Maine’s Darling Marine Center, and OceansWide) resources.

The majority of LA’s students come from the surrounding towns, and only 9% are international. Therefore, students at Lincoln Academy are really able to have an authentic American high school experience.

The food is delicious! LA’s Executive Chef left a local award-winning restaurant to cook for our students and uses locally sourced ingredients for the students’ meals.  He works closely with students to determine what kinds of food they want.
