Brillantmont International

About Us

Brillantmont is that rare thing: An exceptionally warm-hearted school which has been owned by the same family since its foundation in 1882. NEASC and CIS, on re-accrediting the school in 2014 for the fourth time state, ” We found that this was a responsive school that wants to serve and encourage its students in an extraordinary fashion.”
As a leading Swiss boarding and day school, Brillantmont offers an internationally recognized programme. It welcomes 100 boarders and 60-day students from aged 11-18 into Grades 6-12. Over 35 different nationalities are represented, and the school applies quotas to ensure a diverse student body.

The small size of the school ensures that the student remains the focus of all that is offered, both academically, but also regarding personal development. Small class sizes (average 9, max. 15) challenge students and prepare them for US examinations (SAT 1, SAT 2, AP) and British examinations (IGCSE, A Level). Technology plays an integral part in teaching and learning and prepares students for tomorrow’s world. On completion of their studies, Brillantmont students enter top-ranking universities across the world.

A strong extra-curricular programme covering sports, creative, humanitarian and critical thinking activities enables students to develop strengths and talents beyond the classroom. Model United Nations conferences in Singapore and The Hague develop leadership skills, while Habitat for Humanity allows humanitarian commitment through building projects. The school takes advantage of its location in the heart of Europe to develop a sense of internationalism through trips to neighboring countries and language acquisition. Teaching is in English, but all students learn French, the host language.

Outstanding pastoral care, excellent facilities, and spacious accommodation help create a home from home in which every student can excel.

Fraser, who graduated in 2010 and works for Simens says: “Brillantmont helped to give me an international experience and a true understanding of different cultures and languages. I now have friends all over the world that I still keep in touch with, and can only help when looking to expand my career. It also helped a lot with my work ethic and found that the smaller classes made it easier to discuss topics with teachers and classmates, plus the boarding life really helped prepare me for life after school, getting an experience of having to do things on my own but with people still there to support me whenever I needed help.”
