Brandon Hall School

About Us

Brandon Hall’s mission as a co-educational, global boarding and day school challenges students to lead lives of leadership, scholarship, and service. Our community celebrates learning, fosters global citizenship, embraces diversity, encourages athleticism and artistic expression, and inspires students to find their path and lead the way.

Brandon Hall School was founded in 1959 by Mr. Theodore Hecht and his wife, Mrs. Shirley Hecht Corriher. The school started as an all boys boarding school that nurtured its students to academic success. Today, we are Atlanta’s Coeducational Global Boarding and Day School with a school community representing approximately 10 states and 18 countries!

We welcome boarding students, day students, and international students from all over the world. Although our primary focus is cultivating academic scholars, we also emphasize character development, service, and leadership preparation, ensuring that these qualities are woven into the fabric of our community. Our 100 percent college acceptance rate reflects the quality of our program and the strengths of a diverse study body. Our graduates are poised to be leaders in the next phase of their academic life and beyond.

Our teachers engage in rigorous and reflective professional development and collaborate across disciplines and cultures to foster a true 21st century student experience that incorporates communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking. We know that every one of our students is on a personal path to be a future inventor, scientist, historian, engineer, artist, teacher, and anything else they aspire to become. Our purpose as educators is to ignite the spark of motivation within each student, and to guide them on a journey to discover who they are as learners, leaders, and engaged global citizens.
